Hideaway Bar & Grill in Castle Rock Hit by Two Fires in Two Days — How to Help the Staff

Hideaway Bar & Grill at 600 Jerry Street in Castle Rock was hit by two fires in roughly 28 hours — the first overnight Monday into Tuesday (May 11–12), the second early Wednesday morning (May 13). No injuries. CRFD says the second fire was not a rekindle. On May 15, Castle Rock Police announced that Caleb Bishop, 46, has been formally charged with arson, trespassing, tampering, and theft, and remains in custody at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office Detention Facility. Bishop has not entered a plea and is presumed innocent unless and until convicted in court. The Stroh family's GoFundMe for the 21-person staff has now passed $28,070 of a raised $35,000 goal, with 255 donors as of June 1. Becky Stroh's latest GoFundMe update: 'we are still waiting on all the necessary steps to be completed regarding how severe the damage is & what our future even looks like.' The Hideaway website is now marked closed indefinitely.
