A new invitation-only golf club is taking shape in Aurora, just north of Parker. Bluebird Club lists its address plainly on its own site: "Parker Road & E-470. Aurora, Colorado." It's envisioned by Denver-area developer Pat Hamill, and it broke ground in 2026 on an 18-hole, links-inspired course on the high plains southeast of Denver, close enough to Parker that neighbors in the area have been watching the dirt move and asking what's going in.

The Course

  • Location: Parker Road and E-470, in Aurora, just north of the Parker town line, not in Parker or Douglas County
  • Holes: 18, links-inspired, designed to play between 5,000 and 7,800 yards
  • Designer: Dan Blankenship, who began his golf-design career with the Pete Dye group building Glenmoor Country Club in Cherry Hills Village
  • Leadership: Chris Hyten, head pro, and Kevin Laura, general manager

Invitation-Only, Capped at 400

Bluebird Club is invitation-only, and golf membership is capped at roughly 400 members. The initiation fee is $75,000 for the first 50 charter members, who are then tasked with helping recruit the rest of the membership, according to Colorado AvidGolfer's reporting. Pricing for members who join after the charter group hasn't been published. Social memberships, without a golf membership, are also available to residents of nearby neighborhoods, including Prairie Point.

Timeline

Road construction into the site began in mid-2026, with course construction following that summer. Per Bluebird Club's own site:

  • Fall 2027: a potential limited-play opening
  • Fall 2028: targeted opening for the main course
  • Through 2030: additional club facilities phased in

Why It's Part of a Wave of New Private Courses

Bluebird joins a wave of new private golf development in the south Denver metro. Colorado AvidGolfer's coverage frames it as "another private course" near Parker, part of a broader build-out of high-end private clubs on the region's eastern plains.

What's Next

Construction continues toward the fall 2027 limited-play target. We'll update this article as Bluebird Club or local permitting records confirm a firmer opening date.
