Castle Pines launched two new resident resources for tracking development on Sept. 10 — an email notification system for new land-development applications, and a webpage that follows each application through the city's review process.
The email subscription is the bigger change: sign up on the city's email subscriptions page, select "Land Development Applications," and new filings arrive in your inbox with application information and opportunities to give feedback. In the city's words: "You can now register to receive emails directly to your inbox with information about new land development applications that are submitted."
The companion Land Development Applications webpage, in the Community Development Department's section of the city site, is "a central hub for land development applications as they go through the review process" — showing review status, the steps in the process, application types, and links to the city's Development Activity Map.
Existing channels stay open: residents can still email staff directly and comment during public meetings.
