There’s a reason people keep landing here from “things to do in Castle Rock this weekend.” Between the trails, the free town concert series, farmers markets, and a fair-and-rodeo that takes over the county every summer, the hard part isn’t finding something to do — it’s choosing. Get Outside
Rock Park & the Castle Rock Butte
The town's namesake. An easy loop with a gentle 0.75-mile climb to the base of the iconic butte — skip the final scramble with little ones. Free parking downtown, and you can walk to ice cream after.

Local tip: The splash pad + free concert combo is the county’s best zero-dollar summer day — Festival Park does both on the same block.
The Libraries
All seven Douglas County Libraries branches are free — Wi-Fi, kids' programs and story times, study rooms, and events. Most are open Mon–Thu 8–8, Fri 8–6, Sat–Sun 10–4.
