A new butcher shop opened this summer right at the edge of Highlands Ranch. Prime & Proper Butcher Shop opened July 9, 2026, at 131 W. County Line Road, just across the Douglas-Arapahoe county line from Highlands Ranch.
The shop's own site describes it as "conveniently located off C-470 and Broadway," with a family-owned, locally sourced approach: beef, pork, chicken, lamb, sausages, turkey, and specialty and game meats, alongside rubs, spices, marinades, cheese, bread and cast iron cookware. Owner Mitch is described on the shop's site as focused on sourcing the highest-quality meats and helping customers find the right cut and learn how to prepare it.
Right at the County Line
Prime & Proper's address is Littleton, CO 80129, not Highlands Ranch, since the shop sits on the Arapahoe County side of County Line Road. But it's immediately across the street from Douglas County and Highlands Ranch, and several Highlands Ranch-focused accounts and directories list it as serving the neighborhood directly.
