Vehicle Vault, the car museum and event space at 18301 Lincoln Meadows Pkwy in Parker, is winding down. The banner across the top of its own homepage now reads "One Final Gathering — Oct. 10th, 9am to 2pm."
That Saturday is the last Espresso & Exhaust, the free monthly cars-and-coffee meet the museum has hosted on the second Saturday of the month for more than 12 years. In its own announcement, the museum wrote: "On October 10, we'll gather for Espresso & Exhaust one last time... Next month, that tradition comes to an end. Please join us and help us say goodbye."
What has not been published, anywhere, is a final day for the museum itself. That question has been open for a year, and it is still open.

The museum has asked people to bring a car and fill the lot one last time.
What Happened
In September 2025, the building that houses Vehicle Vault was listed for sale, which set off enough worried questions that the business addressed it directly.
"As many of you have seen, the building that houses Vehicle Vault has recently been listed for sale. We want to reassure you that this does not mean an immediate end to our journey. In fact, it means that 2026 will be one of our biggest and most meaningful years yet."
The reason was personal:
"This decision was not made easily. After much reflection, our family has chosen to step back in order to focus on health, to find balance, and to begin the next chapter of our story. While the business itself may change, the spirit of Vehicle Vault — the friendships, the memories, and the community we've built together — will always remain."
Marketing director Matt Bonno told FOX31 at the time that through 2025 and 2026 there would be "no interruption to our museum, private event hosting, or community gatherings," and added: "While the official closing date is still to be determined, our focus remains on creating meaningful experiences and celebrating car culture with the community we love."
That was a year ago (FOX31/KDVR, Sept. 5, 2025). The closing date is still to be determined.
The Building
The 4.09-acre property at 18301 Lincoln Meadows Pkwy was listed at $9,700,000. The listing pitched the large open-span interior as suited to showroom, event, flex-industrial, or adaptive reuse — a religious facility, an educational campus, automotive sales and service, entertainment.
We could not confirm the listing's current status — whether it is still active, under contract, or sold. The listing page blocked automated access when we checked on September 13, 2026, and we found no 2026 reporting that updates it. If you know, tell us.
The cars themselves were never part of the sale. The collection was assembled over years by one family, and the museum exists because they chose to show it publicly rather than keep it behind a door.
One Signal Worth Noting
We checked Vehicle Vault's own ticket calendar on September 13, 2026. Bookable museum visit dates ran through Friday, October 9 — the day before the Grand Finale — and there were none after it.
That is a signal, not an announcement. A booking calendar can simply be short, and we are not going to turn a gap in a Wix widget into a closing date the museum has not given. But if you have been meaning to see the collection, the safe read is that the window is measured in weeks, not months.
What We Still Don't Know
Three open questions, stated plainly rather than guessed at:
- When does the museum actually close? No date has ever been published. "Through 2026" was the 2025 guidance.
- Did the building sell? Unconfirmed.
- Does Espresso & Exhaust continue anywhere else? The announcement reads as the end of the series, not a relocation — but nobody has said either way.
Why This One Matters
Espresso & Exhaust was free, monthly, rain or shine, and one of the largest car meets in the state. It ran for over twelve years and it did not require a ticket, a membership, or knowing anybody. For a lot of people in Parker it was simply what you did on a second Saturday.
Vehicle Vault has been open since 2014. The building went up on what had been an empty field on Lincoln Meadows Parkway.
If you're going to go, October 10 is the day.
