Starting Monday, September 14, 2026, the Lone Tree Police Department and Municipal Court operate out of the new Lone Tree Justice Center at 12707 High Note Avenue.
The City's instruction is direct: for police or court business beginning September 14, go to the Justice Center, not the Municipal Building.

At the Justice Center: filing a police report, victim services, police careers, and other police assistance — plus court sessions and hearings, ticket payments, and court records.
What Is NOT Moving
The Lone Tree Municipal Building at 9220 Kimmer Drive keeps nearly everything else, and its hours are unchanged at Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.:

- City Manager's Office, Economic Development, Communications
- City Clerk — elections, liquor licensing, records requests
- Community Development — building, code enforcement, planning
- Finance — taxes and business licensing
- Human Resources
- Public Works — trash and recycling, right-of-way permits
So a resident paying a ticket and a resident pulling a building permit now go to two different buildings, several miles apart on opposite sides of I-25. Worth knowing before you drive.
The Lone Tree Civic Center (8527 Lone Tree Parkway) and Lone Tree Arts Center (10075 Commons Street) are unaffected.
Where This Sits
The Justice Center is on the northwest corner of RidgeGate Parkway (westbound) and High Note Avenue, on the east side of I-25 — reached by an extension of High Note Avenue that was built alongside the building itself.
The land was donated to the City by Coventry Development as part of RidgeGate. The same donated parcel also carries the City's new Public Works Operations facility (10155 First Street, closed to the public — Public Works business still goes to the Municipal Building) and the future High Note Regional Park.
The project cleared Planning Commission on April 8, 2025 with a recommendation of approval with conditions, and City Council approved it on April 15, 2025. The City's stated reasoning was growth: higher caseloads, more demand for judicial and law enforcement services, and a court that needed to move out of a residential neighborhood into a purpose-built, secure facility.
The Bigger Picture
This is the second of Lone Tree's two major civic construction projects to come online, after the Public Works facility. Both landed on the east side of I-25 — the RidgeGate side, where the city's growth is actually happening, alongside Lyric at RidgeGate, a new elementary school, and the RidgeGate King Soopers.
A city moving its police department and its courtroom across the interstate is a fairly clear statement about where it thinks its center of gravity is going to be.
