Is Trader Joe’s coming to Castle Rock?
No. The Town of Castle Rock has said there are no current plans for a Trader Joe’s in Castle Rock. The nearest one is in Parker. It’s a persistent local rumor with no official basis.
Is Texas Roadhouse coming to Castle Rock?
It’s been rumored locally, with talk of a 2026 opening, but we haven’t found an official Town or company confirmation. Treat it as unconfirmed for now.
Is Whataburger coming to Castle Rock?
Maybe. Whataburger filed plans in late 2025 for a Castle Rock location near the Outlets — one of metro Denver’s first in 40+ years — but it’s still under city review, not yet approved or under construction.
Is a Costco being built in Castle Rock?
Yes. A Costco is planned as an anchor of the Dawson Trails development on the west side, targeting 2027 to open around when the Crystal Valley interchange is completed. A King Soopers is also planned there.
Is Dutch Bros coming to Lone Tree?
Yes. The City of Lone Tree approved a Dutch Bros drive-thru site plan in June 2026, near Park Meadows Drive just north of Kohl’s — the chain’s third Douglas County location.
Is Lazy Dog coming to Castle Rock?
Yes. Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar lists a Castle Rock location as coming soon at 5949 Alpine Vista Circle in the Promenade — its first Colorado restaurant.
