Pine Drive is closed to through traffic in Parker for about two weeks.

Douglas County fully closed Pine Drive between Ponderosa Drive and Lincoln Avenue, beginning as early as 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2026. The County expects the closure to last about two weeks, with the roadway reopened to traffic on Sundays.

Why it's closed

Crews need the full closure to install a new 96-inch drainage pipe underneath the road. It's one piece of a larger County project that will also widen Pine Drive to two lanes and add new traffic signals. The County says the overall project is budgeted at $13,218,000, fully funded by Douglas County, and is scheduled to wrap up in late summer 2027.

The detour

The County is routing drivers around the closure via Ponderosa Drive, Colorado Highway 83/Parker Road, and Lincoln Avenue. Local business and home access is maintained throughout the closure, and the Pine Drive intersections at Ponderosa Drive and Lincoln Avenue stay open.

Questions about the project can go to the County's project hotline at 719-749-7978, or the Pine Drive/Pine Lane project page.
