The Town of Parker is planning to add a continuous second southbound travel lane on Dransfeldt Road between Lincoln Avenue and Pony Express Drive, according to the Town's Engineering and Public Works project page. The project is currently in the planning stage, with the Town "working on plans to construct operational improvements."

What's Planned

The stated goal is to "improve traffic flow and reduce congestion" on the corridor. The planned scope:

  • A continuous second southbound through lane between Lincoln Avenue and Pony Express Drive
  • Reusing existing pavement by converting the current southbound right-turn and auxiliary lanes into a through lane
  • Widening the road only in targeted locations where needed
  • Updated pavement markings, signs and traffic signals
  • Curb, gutter and drainage adjustments as needed, with utility work where necessary
  • Continued access to adjacent properties during construction

Timeline

The Town's project page labels its schedule "Tentative." Construction overall is expected to begin in mid-2027, split into two segments:

  • Segment 1: Lincoln Avenue to Lincoln Meadows Parkway/Parkglenn Way, anticipated for 2027 construction
  • Segment 2: Lincoln Meadows Parkway to Pony Express Drive, anticipated for 2029 construction

The project page does not list a total cost or funding source.

Dransfeldt Road runs past Salisbury Park, where the Town is separately adding 17 pickleball courts at the Motsenbocker Road and Dransfeldt Road intersection.
