Lone Tree Is Building a Park With a Beer Garden

High Note Regional Park is coming to the Lyric neighborhood in Lone Tree, and Phase 1 includes something you don't usually see in a public park: a beer garden.

What's Included in Phase 1

  • Playgrounds
  • Dog park
  • Sports fields
  • Small performance stage
  • Beer garden

Yes, a beer garden. In a public park.

Location: Corner of High Note Ave and Lyric Street
Size: 80 acres (when fully complete)
Phase 1 Opening: 2027

Construction starts spring 2026.

The Approval Process

The project still needs final approval:

  • Planning Commission vote: April 14, 2026
  • City Council vote: April 21, 2026

Given how far along the planning is, approval is expected.

Why It Matters

This is a different kind of park for Douglas County. The combination of playgrounds, a dog park, and a beer garden in one space creates an amenity that appeals to families, dog owners, and adults looking for a casual outdoor hangout — all at the same location.

High Note Regional Park will eventually be 80 acres, making it one of the larger parks in Lone Tree. Phase 1 establishes the core amenities, with future phases adding more green space and facilities.

Timeline

  • Spring 2026: Construction begins
  • April 2026: Planning Commission and City Council votes
  • 2027: Phase 1 opening
