Aging Resources of Douglas County Is Moving to 410 S. Wilcox St. in Castle Rock

Aging Resources of Douglas County is relocating in early October from its Fourth Street office to a larger space at 410 S. Wilcox St. in downtown Castle Rock. Its free services for adults 60 and older continue, and the phone number stays 303-814-4300.

Aging Resources of Douglas County is changing addresses. Per Douglas County, starting in early October its offices move from 104 Fourth Street to 410 S. Wilcox St. in Castle Rock, a few miles away. The sign on the new building lists Suite 101.

The County says the bigger space gives it more room to serve older adults, bring in volunteers and expand services. Aging Resources puts it at going from a roughly 1,000-square-foot office to a nearly 5,000-square-foot space, including a community room for seminars, workshops and support groups.

When the move takes effect

"Early October" is as specific as it gets right now. The County says Aging Resources will announce the day the move is effective on its social media channels. Until then, call before you head over.

What Aging Resources does

Every service is free to Douglas County adults age 60 and older. It's a nonprofit, and donations are accepted. Per Aging Resources, that covers:

  • Transportation: rides to medical appointments, the pharmacy, the grocery store and social outings, including wheelchair-accessible rides
  • Help at home: light housekeeping, grocery shopping and meal support
  • Chore and yard services: raking, trimming, minor repairs and seasonal cleanup
  • Companionship: friendly visits, phone calls and regular check-ins
  • Equipment loan closet: walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs and more, free for as long as you need them
  • Resource navigation: one-on-one help connecting older adults and families to local services and benefits
