The Groove Café Now Open at Lyric at RidgeGate in Lone Tree
The Groove — the new neighborhood hub at the heart of the Lyric at RidgeGate community in Lone Tree — is now open at 10930 Lyric Street. And here's the part worth knowing: while the community's pool and fitness amenities are residents-only, The Groove café and restaurant are open to the public, with coffee by day and a full bar by night.
What Is The Groove
The Groove is Lyric's central amenity hub, managed by BlueStar Resort & Golf, the firm Shea Homes brought on to run the community's amenities. It pulls several pieces together in one place:
- The Groove café and restaurant, serving coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a full bar and liquor license
- A welcome center at the core of the neighborhood, with a patio that opens onto a large lawn and play area
- A fitness area and pool across the lawn, with both indoor and outdoor recreation space
One important distinction: the café and restaurant are open to everyone, while the pool, fitness center, and other recreation amenities are reserved for Lyric residents. The idea is a place where you can kick off the morning with a brewed beverage and breakfast and cap the day with dinner and drinks.
The Café and Restaurant
The café is the everyday anchor of the hub, and because The Groove carries a full liquor license, it works as a full-service restaurant and bar, not just a coffee shop. The team sums up the concept on Instagram as "coffee, seasonal bites, lunch breaks, dinner dates" — a cozy spot to take a break, catch up with neighbors, settle in for a quick reset, or come back for dinner and drinks.
The Groove is open:
- Sunday – Wednesday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Thursday: 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.
- Friday and Saturday: 7 a.m. – 9 p.m.
What's on the menu
The menu runs on the same music theme as the neighborhood, with sections like sunrise setlist (breakfast), the headliners (mains), slice sessions (scratch pizza), and encore (dessert).
Breakfast is served 7 to 11 a.m. and includes a breakfast burrito (scrambled egg, crispy potato, cheddar, salsa, chipotle aioli; add chorizo or bacon), an egg, ham and cheese empanada (one for $6, three for $15), and avocado toast with lemon oil. The all-day menu spans sandwiches built on house-made focaccia (the Pane Porchetta and Pane BLT are early hits), salads, baseline bowls including a Mediterranean bowl, cast iron meatballs with a hint of heat, scratch pizzas, and a kids menu for ages 12 and under. Vegetarian and gluten-free options run throughout, and gluten-free bread is a $1 sub.
Because The Groove carries a full liquor license, the bar is part of the draw: cocktails, red, white, sparkling and rosé wines, Lone Tree Brewery on tap, and an Athletic Lite non-alcoholic option.
On an early visit, the breakfast burrito with chipotle aioli was the standout, the egg-ham-cheese empanadas made an easy add-on, and an iced latte held up nicely in the morning sun on the patio. For lunch and dinner, the house-made focaccia sandwiches and the cast iron meatballs come well recommended.

The Design Story Behind It
The Groove Café and the amenity experience around it were designed by the Hospitality Studio at Kimberly Timmons Interiors, in collaboration with Shea Homes Colorado and Magik Studios.
Its centerpiece is a 60-foot mural in more than 40 colors by Magik Studios, inspired by rhythm and movement and created as an extension of the community itself. The artwork carries from the outdoor gathering spaces into the café, reinforcing the energy, creativity, and connection the Lyric community is built around. More than a statement piece, the design team frames it as an example of how intentional design, storytelling, and collaboration can shape a space that feels connected to the people who use it every day.
The Space
Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows facing both east and west keep the room bright through the day, and with outlets throughout, it doubles as a comfortable work-from-anywhere spot in Lone Tree. Outside, the patio steps down to a turf lawn with high-top tables and picnic seating. On Friday nights, The Groove hosts live music, which has drawn crowds of well over a hundred.
The Grand Opening
The Groove celebrated its grand opening on Saturday, June 6, 2026, with a 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. event featuring a live DJ, roving entertainers, bites and beverages, family-friendly activities, and giveaways, plus model-home tours across the community. The opening drew a crowd of around 200, mostly Lyric residents. The celebration is over, but the café and amenities are now open daily for the season.
About Lyric at RidgeGate
Lyric at RidgeGate is a Shea Homes master-planned community in Lone Tree, envisioned at roughly 1,900 homes at full buildout, with around 350 sold so far. It offers a mix of condos, townhomes, rowhomes, and single-family detached homes, with model homes from Shea Homes, Infinity Properties, Thrive Home Builders, and Lokal Homes, plus neighborhood parks and trails. The Groove, managed by BlueStar Resort & Golf, serves as the community's lifestyle and amenity centerpiece.
Lyric's Community Welcome Center is open Monday 1 to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for questions about the community, builders, and home collections.
Why It Matters for DougCo
The Groove is another sign of how quickly RidgeGate is filling in. Right next to Lyric, the 80-acre High Note Regional Park broke ground in April 2026 and is set to open in 2027 with two lit athletic fields, a playground, a dog park, a food-truck area, and a 200-seat beer garden, and a new elementary school broke ground in February at Adage Road and Lyric Street, targeted for the 2027-28 school year. Lyric itself is adding three music-named neighborhood parks: Lyric, Bebop, and Poet. Across the rest of RidgeGate, the King Soopers-anchored Lone Tree Village shopping center is under construction with a late-2026 target, a new Justice Center is planned, and the Forte affordable senior community recently opened. For the broader DougCo community, it's one more reason to keep an eye on RidgeGate as it grows from raw land into a full neighborhood, and now Lyric residents have a café and amenity hub at the center of it.
The Groove at Lyric at RidgeGate is at 10930 Lyric Street, Lone Tree, CO 80134.
