Tailgate Tavern & Grill, the bar and live-music spot on Parker Mainstreet, has a new owner. In October 2026, the business's own Instagram account introduced him directly: "I'm Chris, the new owner of The Tailgate."
Who Bought It
The new owner is Chris Potter, an entrepreneur who already owns several other Denver-metro bars: Sports Lounge Off Broadway in Highlands Ranch, Crimson and Gold Tavern, and The Fainting Goat Pub. A post from the Living in Parker, CO community page put it plainly: "Changes are coming to Parker! The Tailgate has officially been sold! Entrepreneur Chris Potter, who also owns Sports Lounge Off Broadway, Crimson and Gold Tavern, and The Fainting Goat Pub, is the new owner of this longtime Parker hangout."
Potter's own account of his start, from a local business profile: "I was able to branch out to the Sports Lounge off Broadway in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. After a remodel and rebranding, I continued to expand and bought the Fainting Goat Pub." Tailgate becomes his fourth bar in the group.
What's Changing (So Far: Nothing Announced)
Tailgate's own social post framed this as an introduction, not a relaunch. It asked regulars directly: "Are you excited to see what's next, or hoping The Tailgate keeps its familiar charm?" No remodel, rebrand, menu change, or name change has been announced. The bar remains open on Parker Mainstreet under its existing name.
