About the Role
As a Deputy District Attorney in County Court, you will gain unparalleled legal experience while handling a variety of misdemeanor cases. This role is foundational for a career in prosecution, with opportunities for promotion to District Court and specialty units within our office.
Responsibilities
- Handle a docket of traffic and misdemeanor cases
- Conduct initial case reviews and ongoing follow-ups with law enforcement
- Negotiate with defense counsel
- Meet with witnesses and victims
- Prepare and conduct motions and trials
Requirements
- Graduation from law school
- Licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible pending admission
- Prior experience with criminal law preferred
