About the Role

The Kitchen Manager will supervise kitchen staff and maintain a focus on customer service while developing good community relations. This role requires leadership skills to train and manage kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with health regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create positive relationships with community and school clientele.
• Maintain food inventory to meet business requirements.
• Oversee sanitation and cleaning of kitchen facilities.
• Train and develop kitchen staff on food safety practices.
• Manage financial records and ensure compliance with school food service regulations.
• Handle employee issues with discretion and confidentiality.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe Manager Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and critical thinking abilities.
