About the Role

Server at Champagne Velvet Proper Kitchen & Bar. Take orders, serve food and drinks, manage tabs, upsell beer and cocktail menu, build rapport with regulars, and own guest relations.

Responsibilities

• Take orders, serve food and drinks, create memorable guest experiences
• Apply knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and food during daily service
• Process payment and manage tabs per company policy
• Make recommendations and upsell using social perception and guest knowledge
• Refill drinks and check in on guests (full hand in, full hands out)
• Maintain cleanliness — bussing, sweeping, wiping, side work, beautifications
• Welcome and seat guests; answer phone and take to-go/delivery orders
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar for prompt and correct order delivery
• Keep checks organized; use seat numbers; split checks on request

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age
• Proven experience as a server or similar role
• Obtain TiPS Certification within 60 days of hire
• Ability to work well under pressure and at a fast pace
• Pass menu and recipe tests
• Operate cash register and POS system
• Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; stand for long periods

Compensation

• Base pay: $11.79/hr + tips
• 2 openings
