Responsibilities

• Responsible for leadership resulting in implementation of special education process including identification, assessment, development and implementation of IEP’s.
• --- Work collaboratively with all DCSD personnel to offer guidance and support in meeting the needs of all students with Individualized Plans.
• --- Develop and maintain effective communications among parents, faculty, stakeholders and administration regarding student needs, programming, and instruction, including mediation and due process procedures.
• --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• --- Design and assist in delivery of staff development training for employees responsible for instructional delivery of children with special needs.
• --- Assist the Director(s) of Special Education to gather necessary data with regard to state and federal reporting procedures.
