Assistant Nurse Manager Nights (Med Surg)

About the Role

As Assistant Nurse Manager for nights on the Medical/Surgical unit, you help lead the unit's nursing team, support charge nurses and bedside staff, and ensure safe, high-quality patient care overnight. You partner with the Nurse Manager on staffing, mentoring, and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to the night-shift Med/Surg nursing team.
• Coordinate staffing, assignments, and patient flow during the shift.
• Mentor and develop charge nurses and bedside staff.
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards, safety, and quality measures.
• Lead unit-based performance improvement initiatives.
• Support patient and family satisfaction and resolve escalated concerns.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Nursing (required).
• Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
• Charge nurse or relevant leadership experience (preferred).
• Acute-care nursing experience (preferred).
