We value teamwork, cooperation, and quality communication. Key duties include the maintenance and upkeep of parks and grounds maintenance including mowing.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of parks, ball fields, and rights-of-way. Operates equipment such as tractors and mowers
- Performs grounds maintenance including mowing, weed eating, edging, blowing, pruning, planting, trimming, sodding
- Performs regular and preventive maintenance and minor repair on assigned equipment
- Performs painting, cleaning, maintenance and repair on municipal property, structures, and facilities, including playground equipment, fences, and buildings
- Utilizes various manual, gasoline, and hand held electrical tools and equipment in repairing or installing playground equipment, fences, or related structures. Tools may include saws, drills, hammers, and shovels
- Cleans/clears debris and refuse from Town property regularly
- Coordinates and assists with special events operations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 16 years of age
- Experience: Exceptional customer service and communication skills are required
- Licenses and/or Certifications Required: Possession of a valid Driver's License
- Ability to effectively convey information to students
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to physically withstand exposure to varying weather conditions, chemicals, warm temperatures and other conditions found in the pool areas
- Knowledge of and ability to physically perform and demonstrate various rescue techniques, life-saving procedures and water safety instruction
- Ability to exercise independent judgment to apply facts and advisory data to problem resolution. Advisory data includes Town of Castle Rock Personnel Guidelines, Parks and Recreation policies and procedures, Certified Pool Operators Manual, and lifeguarding manuals
Compensation
- Hourly Range: $15.71 USDto$21.99 USD
