About the Role

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care, support and education to patients and their families through all aspects of their physical medicine and rehabilitation process. The PA will participate as a key member of the Orthopedic and Spine team to identify and meet the physical and emotional needs of the patient.

Responsibilities

• Assists in seeing both new and return patients
• Conducts rounding on patients and supports physicians with patients in clinic.
• Procedures will include Knee injections, Bursa injections, shoulder injections, trigger point injections, and occipital nerve blocks.
• Consenting for ablations, epidurals, spinal cord stimulator trials, peripheral nerve stimulators, kyphoplasty, and Basi vertebral nerve ablation.
• Assisting with spinal cord stimulator implants in the future
• Orders and interprets test results.
• Functions as a resource person for individuals with questions regarding their diagnosis or treatment and coordinates the multidisciplinary plan of care.
• Works in collaboration with other APPs and physicians using established and approved protocols as required by institutional policy.
• Effectively uses time, personnel, equipment and supplies to provide high-quality, cost-effective delivery of patient care.

Requirements

• Experience must include 2+ years in either neurosurgery or PM&R
• NO NEW GRADS at this time

Compensation

• Base pay: $73.14 - $79.65/hr
• Relocation assistance: $10,000
