Student Nurse Tech

About the Role

The Student Nurse Tech assists in delivering patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include documenting procedures, obtaining nursing histories, and ensuring patient safety through adherence to clinical guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow CDC isolation guidelines and demonstrate appropriate use of PPE.
• Assist in the delivery of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Document and report all procedures accurately according to department policy.
• Participate in obtaining nursing history and evaluate age-appropriate norms.
• Perform treatments according to policy and procedure for the patient population.
• Function appropriately in clinical emergencies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with first semester of Nursing Fundamentals completed, or completed an accredited nursing program within one year without license
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Ability to float between assignments and adapt to varying healthcare settings
• Effective communication and accurate documentation skills
