About the Role

Castle Rock Water provides drinking water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems for the Town of Castle Rock's more than 80,000 residents and businesses. The Town is hiring at two levels — Water Resources Engineer ($77,001.60–$107,827.20) and Water Resources Project Manager ($97,614.40–$136,697.60) — to support long-term planning, drought resiliency, and water rights administration. Roles include hydrologic/hydrogeologic analysis, well siting through aquifer storage and recovery (ASR) systems, Capital Improvement Project (CIP) coordination, and water rights work with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and water supply analyses to support planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in evaluating and managing the Town’s integrated water supply portfolio.
  • Apply engineering principles in projects for water resources infrastructure.
  • Support the design and construction of Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs).
  • Develop analytical tools to monitor water system performance.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to internal staff and the public.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or a related field.
  • Experience in water resources engineering or hydrology.
  • Valid Colorado driver's license.
