About the Role

Responsible for the provision of an individualized service delivery model that utilizes inclusive practices through a combination of special education support provided in and outside of the general classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for, attend and communicate student progress during IEP meetings.
  • Collaborate with IEP and Assessment Specialist in development of the IEP.
  • May be required to travel within district boundaries.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and consult with general education staff regarding modifications, accommodations and curriculum/interventions.
  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting of student Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
  • May co-teach (per chosen model).

Requirements

  • Certifications: Colorado READ Act designation, which can be acquired via the options described at https://www.cde.state.co.us/coloradoliteracy - Colorado Department of Education, Special Education Generalist License - Colorado Department of Education
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree: Special Education (Required)
