Recreation Coordinator II - Fitness and Wellness (FT)

About the Role

Under general supervision, this position coordinates and delivers fitness and wellness programs by supervising staff and managing budgets. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality, accessible fitness services for the community while overseeing safety practices and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, implements, and evaluates fitness and wellness programs for all ages.
• Supervises staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance management.
• Monitors budgets for fitness and wellness programs and implements cost-control measures.
• Maintains records of program participation and evaluates industry trends.
• Administers safety and risk management practices by enforcing departmental policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in parks and recreation management or related field.
• One year of experience in recreation or wellness programming.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Nationally recognized Personal Training and/or Group Exercise certification.
