About the Role

The Surgical Scheduler is responsible for scheduling patients for surgery and managing facility paperwork to ensure a smooth process. This role involves obtaining necessary information to schedule or reschedule surgeries while communicating effectively with various healthcare professionals and departments.

Responsibilities

Schedule patients for surgery and complete necessary facility paperwork
Obtain and manage scheduling, demographic, insurance, and clinical information
Communicate with physicians and office staff to arrange surgeries
Respond to inquiries regarding surgery scheduling effectively
Prepare and maintain hospital schedules using various methods
Assist with orientation of new staff members as needed

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
1+ year of technical experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR scheduling
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Strong communication skills with patients and healthcare professionals

Compensation

Base pay: $19.77 - $31.64/hr
