Surgery Scheduler

About the Role

As a Surgery Scheduler, you will be responsible for scheduling patients for surgical procedures while ensuring that all necessary information is collected and processed. This role involves collaborating with physicians and office staff to facilitate a smooth scheduling process.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patients for surgery and completes facility paperwork.
• Obtains necessary scheduling and clinical information to schedule, cancel, or reschedule events.
• Schedules surgeries with physicians and physician office staff using facility-designated methods.
• Communicates with designated departments for add-on cases and prepares reservations for each scheduled case.
• Responds to inquiries regarding surgery scheduling and the operating room suite.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• 3+ years in a healthcare setting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Basic Life Support – CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
