About the Role

The CST will anticipate the needs of the surgeon and ensure the operating room is prepared with necessary supplies. This role requires maintaining communication with the circulating nurse and upholding high standards throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and keep the circulating nurse informed
• Assemble all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications before procedures
• Monitor aseptic technique of the surgical team and correct any breaks
• Maintain high standards in cost savings and containment
• Support customer and employee satisfaction activities

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent (Associate preferred)
• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology school
• Minimum 1 year of OR CST experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NTSC
