Signal Supervisor

About the Role

This position oversees the schedules and activities within the ITS and Traffic Signal Operations Unit. It requires strong leadership, communication skills, and technical expertise in traffic signal systems and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Develops internal plans for traffic signal construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Ensures traffic signal devices meet federal, state, and county specifications.
• Reviews traffic signal plans and provides written/oral reports and recommendations.
• Oversees traffic signal maintenance contracts and project support.
• Maintains inventory of traffic signal materials and parts.
• Supervises traffic signal technicians and maintains employee time records.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eight years of field experience with traffic signals and related equipment.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire.
• IMSA Level I Signs & Markings Certification required.
