About the Role
The Park Maintenance Technician is responsible for various technical tasks related to maintaining parks, facilities, and open spaces. This role involves both hands-on work and leadership duties overseeing seasonal staff and tasks.
Responsibilities
- Inspects park grounds, trails, open space, and facilities to determine need or extent of repairs.
- Operates equipment such as pickups, trucks, and tractors.
- Performs park irrigation preventive maintenance and repairs.
- Directs activities of Seasonal Parks Technicians in maintenance and construction tasks.
- Performs snow removal and application of anti-icing products.
- Checks equipment and tools to assure safe usage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Six months of related experience (Tech I) or two years (Tech II).
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire.
- Ability to obtain a Class (A) Commercial Driver License within one year for Tech II.
- Combination of education and experience may be considered.
