Mechanic Supervisor

About the Role

The Mechanic Supervisor is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision and leadership within the Douglas County Fleet Services division. This role supervises a team of mechanics while coordinating maintenance and repair activities for a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and performs maintenance and repair activities for vehicles and equipment assigned to the Fleet Services shop or location.
• Provides day-to-day supervision to assigned Fleet Services mechanics and assigns work.
• Implements and monitors preventive maintenance programs to promote vehicle and equipment reliability.
• Analyzes vehicle and equipment utilization and maintenance information to ensure appropriate schedules are followed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Eight years of fleet-based automotive and/or diesel mechanical experience.
• One year of experience in a fleet lead or supervisory role.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License upon hire.
