Sports Official (PT)- Soccer

About the Role

Under general supervision, the Sports Official is responsible for officiating various sports leagues. This role ensures fairness and compliance with game rules to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for players and spectators.

Responsibilities

• Officiates assigned sporting events, games, or competitions.
• Maintains a safe and fun environment during league play.
• Judges performances in sporting competitions.
• Conducts inspections of sporting equipment and field conditions.
• Resolves claims of rule infractions or complaints by participants.
• Performs disciplinary actions for violations of the Town’s Behavioral Policies.

Requirements

• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Requires prior experience as a player, coach, instructor, and/or official.
• Concussion recognition training is required within ninety (90) days of hire.
