About the Role
Under general supervision, this position plans, instructs, and supervises a variety of recreational programs, including youth sports and therapeutic activities. The role ensures each session is age-appropriate, safe, and enjoyable for all participants.
Responsibilities
- Implements lesson plans and practice schedules for youth sports and enrichment classes.
- Supports inclusive programming by adapting activities for participants with disabilities.
- Fosters an inclusive and positive environment, modeling sportsmanship and teamwork.
- Performs safety and maintenance checks on equipment and facilities.
- Acts as the primary on-site contact for participants and their parents.
- Assesses participant skill levels and provides constructive feedback.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
- One (1) year of relevant experience in teaching or coaching preferred.
- Possession of or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification within thirty (30) days of hire.
- Current Swim Instruction certification is required for Swim Coaches.
- Completion of concussion recognition training within ninety (90) days of hire.
