Consumer Access Specialist

About the Role

As a Consumer Access Specialist, you will perform Medicare compliance reviews and assist patients with their financial responsibilities. This role coordinates with various departments to ensure smooth patient experiences and supports excellent customer service throughout.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans.
• Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits.
• Manage communication between clinical, ancillary, and consumer access departments.
• Consistently provide excellent customer service and document all patient and insurance representative conversations.

Requirements

• Mature judgment in dealing with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and written.
• Experience in customer service-related field.
• Knowledge of computer programs and electronic health record programs.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
