About the Role

This position involves collaborating with the Inpatient Wound Care Team to provide clinical support to bedside staff. The technician will assist with monitoring wound progression and maintaining a therapeutic environment in accordance with hospital standards.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with WOCN and bedside staff to support local workflows, including HAPI bundle implementation.
  • Assists with monitoring wound progression and healing, performing simple wound care treatments.
  • Escalates wound concerns to WOCN team when necessary.
  • Maintains a safe, comfortable environment for patients and families, demonstrating emergency procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BLS certification through American Heart Association or Red Cross CPR needed before start date.
  • BLS or CPR card must be valid for sixty days after hiring.
