Consumer Access Specialist

About the Role

In this role, you will ensure seamless patient registration and financial compliance. You'll collaborate with insurance providers and patients to navigate financial responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform Medicare compliance reviews and issue Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage as needed.
• Create accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collect payments or establish payment plans.
• Contact insurance companies to verify eligibility and benefits, obtaining pre-authorizations as needed.
• Register patients for services, ensuring accuracy and minimizing duplication of records.
• Provide timely coverage of assigned work areas during scheduled shifts, arranging relief as needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree preferred; High School Grad or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant healthcare experience preferred.
• 1+ years of revenue cycle experience preferred.
• Mature judgment in dealing with patients and insurance representatives.
