About the Role

The Planning Manager will oversee the Planning Division and guide strategic plans related to urban design and land use. This role requires collaboration with various city departments and public engagement to fulfill the community's development goals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Planning Division and provide leadership and mentorship to staff.
  • Develop strategic plans related to current and long-range planning.
  • Make informed recommendations regarding complex land use projects.
  • Serve as the staff liaison to the Planning Commission.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Land Use Planning or a related field with at least 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory and project management experience.
  • Strong understanding of zoning and land use principles.
