Respiratory Therapist

About the Role

This full-time role provides top of scope respiratory therapy in direct patient care, using respiratory therapy protocols and best practices to optimize outcomes. The therapist practices in a technologically complex setting managing ventilator integration and airway management.

Responsibilities

• Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care using respiratory therapy protocols and best practices
• Manages ventilator integration and airway management
• Values and effectively partners with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes
• Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
• Welcomes new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment
• Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC and state licensure
• ACLS, PALS and NRP certification
• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross with card in-hand before start date
