About the Role

Lead worker role responsible for maintenance and upkeep of parks, ball fields, and rights-of-way using tractors, mowers, and snow plows. Performs grounds maintenance (mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, sodding), preventive equipment maintenance, painting/cleaning/maintenance of municipal property, and operates fertilization/weed-control sprayers. Position is part of the Town's snow removal program with on-call winter shifts (typically 12 hours).

Responsibilities

Acts as lead worker for part-time and full-time personnel; assigns and schedules repairs or work
Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of parks, ball fields, and rights-of-way
Performs grounds maintenance, including mowing, weed eating, and edging
Operates various equipment for fertilization and weed control
Cleans/clears debris and refuse from Town property regularly
Coordinates and assists with special events operations

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
One year of work experience operating equipment and machinery
A valid Colorado Driver's License
Class B Commercial Driver’s License preferred
Ability to establish effective working relationships with the public
