Water Plant Operator

About the Role

As a Water Plant Operator, you will be integral to maintaining the water treatment system for Castle Rock. This position offers an opportunity to engage in meaningful work that ensures the quality and safety of water for the community's residents and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Monitors water treatment through the SCADA system, interpreting conditions for system adjustments.
• Inspects water plants and pump stations, recording operational changes and conducting routine laboratory analysis.
• Handles chemicals for water treatment and transports them as needed to various sites.
• Checks water levels and maintains records for monitoring and testing processes.
• Operates valves and performs maintenance throughout the water system.
• Responds to customer inquiries and maintains facilities for cleanliness and repair.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; additional coursework preferred.
• Experience in water treatment preferred based on level.
• Valid Colorado driver's license required.
• Knowledge of federal and state drinking water regulations and SCADA systems.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical work.
