Medical Office Representative

About the Role

As a Medical Office Representative, you greet patients, manage their records, and ensure smooth operation of patient services. You facilitate communication between clinical partners and patients to enhance the overall patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and direct calls appropriately.
• Welcome patients and update and verify patient demographics and insurance.
• Register patients for services, ensuring accuracy.
• Facilitate timely discharge and maximize reimbursement.
• Provide education to patients on test locations and portal use.
• Request co-pays and balances at check-in.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent required
• Associate or higher-level education in health services administration preferred
• 1+ year customer service and medical office experience preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology, coding, and payment collection preferred
