Kitchen Assistant

About the Role

The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for providing support in meal preparation and promoting community relations. This role involves adhering to health and sanitation standards while ensuring quality service to students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the proper setup and cleanup of serving areas for timely service to students.
• Serve meals daily while complying with school food regulations and health department standards.
• Independently follow menu and recipe instructions, ensuring proper food temperatures and portion sizes.
• Assist in unloading and properly storing delivered food items.
• Learn and operate Point of Sale system and reconcile daily sales accurately.
• Participate in training, including leading sessions for other kitchen staff.

Requirements

• High School or Equivalent education.
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to various assignments and conditions.
