Health Assistant

About the Role

The Health Assistant is responsible for managing student health conditions and administering medications as needed. This role requires confidentiality and the ability to develop community relations among various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform delegated procedures in accordance with the student’s health care plan.
• Provide first aid for students per District guidelines.
• Administer prescribed medications to students.
• Document health related services in the Medicaid documentation system.
• Notify school nurse consultant of reportable communicable diseases.
• Ensure students meet Colorado State immunization requirements.

Requirements

• First Aid & CPR Certification - Colorado
• High School or Equivalent (Required)
• Knowledge of healthcare practices and procedures
