About the Role

The Event Assistant greets and directs patrons at Town events, sells and takes tickets, handles cash and credit-card payments, and provides on-site customer service. The role also supports event setup, on-site execution, teardown and equipment storage under the direction of a Supervisor or Event Coordinator. Flexible hours including nights and weekends are required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and direct patrons attending Town events and special programs; provide line assistance and check IDs
  • Sell and take tickets, collect fees, and handle cash and credit-card payments
  • Respond to patron questions and provide information about events, programs and the facility
  • Facilitate event setup, on-site execution, teardown and equipment storage
  • Act as on-site contact for rental and permit event hosts
  • Complete cash reports for point-of-sale systems

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Six months of customer-service experience in a public setting preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • CPR/AED/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
