Educational Assistant IV - Severe Needs

About the Role

The Educational Assistant IV - Severe Needs plays a critical role in assisting special education teachers and addressing the medical and daily needs of students with severe needs. This position requires collaboration with special education teams and includes a variety of responsibilities from enabling daily functions to supporting individual education plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with daily functions such as food preparation and toileting.
• Collaborate with special needs teams and specialists.
• Administer and document prescription medication to students.
• Support classroom instruction under the guidance of certified teachers.
• Communicate with parents and school personnel as needed.
• Document health-related services in designated systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in an educational environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Demonstrated ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Basic computer skills with word processing and databases.
