About the Role

Confirms patient identification and understanding of procedure prior to starting. Performs thorough and accurate routine and emergency EKGs as ordered by physicians.

Responsibilities

Confirms patient identification and understanding of procedure prior to starting. Performs thorough and accurate routine and emergency EKGs as ordered by physicians.
Presents all STAT EKGs to RN immediately after completion.
Responds immediately to 'Code Blue' as required.
Provides patient with emotional support. Performs specialized testing using computer-assisted devices, including holter/event monitor application, signal-averaged EKG, and treadmill stress tests.
Maintains and reviews equipment, ensuring proper function and calibration, and informs biomed of malfunctions.

Requirements

High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Previous patient care and basic clerical experience [Required]
Basic Life Support – CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) [Required]
