Certified Surgical Technologist FT Days

About the Role

As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you anticipate the surgeon's needs and help maintain surgical standards during procedures. Responsibilities include preparing instruments and supplies, monitoring aseptic technique, and assisting the surgical team to support patient care.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and keep the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure.
• Assemble all necessary supplies, equipment, and medications prior to the procedure.
• Monitor aseptic technique of the entire surgical team and take immediate corrective action for breaks.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE appropriately, and adhere to infection control practices.
• Assist the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover.
• Support orientation, training, and education of new personnel.

Requirements

• State Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), NBSTSA CST, or Technician in Surgery TS-C (NCCT)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High School Graduate or equivalent
• 2+ years of technical experience in the field (Preferred)
