4th of July in Douglas County 2026
Every parade, fireworks show, and 4th of July event across Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, and Sterling Ranch — plus where to watch fireworks if your town isn't hosting. 2026 is the America 250 + Colorado 150 year.
What's different in 2026
- Highlands Ranch canceled fireworks. Stage 1 Fire Restrictions plus elevated drought conditions across the region. Replacement is the Star-Spangled Birthday Bash on Thursday, July 2 at Highland Heritage Regional Park — free concert, Ragged Union + Jeff Goodwin.
- Parker shifted to fireworks-only remote viewing. No in-person Stars and Stripes Celebration this year — just the professional fireworks show launching from Salisbury North around 9:30 PM, with multiple suggested viewing locations.
- America 250 + Colorado 150. Castle Rock's 4th is the centerpiece of the town's official 250/150 programming. HR is doing a Colorado 150 festival Aug 1 + a drone show Aug 22 at Civic Green. Sterling Ranch is doing a USA 250 / CO 150 aerial photo on the 4th. Parker is folding it all into a 250/150/45 framing (Parker also turns 45 in 2026).
- Lone Tree headliner is Sophia Scott. Colorado-bred singer/songwriter on EMPIRE Nashville with 145M+ career streams. Takes the stage at Prairie Sky Park at 8 PM before the 9:30 PM fireworks.
