Float Like a Buffalo — Series Kickoff (June 20)

  • Date: Saturday, June 20, 2026
  • Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Artist: Float Like a Buffalo — a six-piece band from Denver known for explosive live shows
  • Tickets: $23.18 GA / $33.85 VIP on Eventbrite →

The Outdoor Concert Series kicks off on the same Saturday as the Castle Rock Classic Rock Cruise-In Car Show — if you're in DougCo for the weekend, the car show runs 10 a.m.–3 p.m. in downtown Castle Rock and Float Like a Buffalo starts at 7 p.m. in Sedalia, about 15 minutes south. A full day of live-music and car-culture content without doubling back.

Float Like a Buffalo is a six-piece from Denver. Ticketing is handled via Eventbrite — buy early if you want VIP.

Buckcherry (July 24)

  • Date: Friday, July 24, 2026
  • Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Artist: Buckcherry — explosive sound, passionate performances, platinum records. Known for hits including "Lit Up" and "Crazy Bitch."
  • Tickets: $33.85+ on Eventbrite →

Buckcherry is one of the bigger-name acts to play the WOS outdoor stage in 2026. July 24 is also the opening night of the Douglas County Fair & Rodeo — if you're weekend-tripping into DougCo, that's two headline events on the same Friday night.

Buckcherry's catalog spans multiple platinum records and two decades of hard-rock touring. This is an outdoor stage show in a parking-lot-turned-venue atmosphere — plan for standing-room general admission and bring ear protection if you're sensitivity-sensitive.

Moonshine Bandits with Special Guest Dando (August 1)

  • Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Artists: Moonshine Bandits with special guest Dando — a blend of outlaw country and hip-hop with over 500 million YouTube views
  • Tickets: $33.85+ on Eventbrite →

Moonshine Bandits blend outlaw country with hip-hop — a genre called "hick-hop" or "country-rap." Their YouTube catalog has crossed 500 million views. Special guest Dando opens or co-headlines; check the Eventbrite listing closer to the date for the running order.

Note: August 1 is also the Colorado Day show at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock (Fitz and The Tantrums). If your group is split between genres, there are two completely different concert options in DougCo on the same Saturday night.

Struggle Jennings (August 15)

  • Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
  • Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
  • Artist: Struggle Jennings — grandson of Waylon Jennings; a raw, unapologetic voice in modern outlaw country and country-rap
  • Tickets: $33.85+ on Eventbrite →

Struggle Jennings closes out the 2026 Outdoor Concert Series. As the grandson of Waylon Jennings, he carries outlaw country lineage into a modern country-rap sound — raw, unapologetic, and built for an outdoor crowd. If you liked the Moonshine Bandits show two weeks earlier, this is the natural double.

August 15 is also the same evening as Cheap Trick at Philip S. Miller Park in Castle Rock (different genre, different vibe, different crowd). Two outdoor headline shows in DougCo on one night — plan accordingly.

Free Bike Night — Every Wednesday, 5–9 p.m.

Bike Night runs every Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. all summer and is free to attend. Each week features live music from a rotating cast of regional acts, a bike show, games, giveaways, and vendors. No ticket needed — just show up.

The Food: Riot BBQ Kitchen Takeover

Since May 2026, the Wide Open Saloon kitchen has been running as a Riot BBQ takeover. Riot BBQ is the project of Patrick Klaiber, a Michelin-recognized pitmaster, and Manny Barella, a James Beard nominee and Top Chef alum. Their flagship is at 2180 S Delaware in Denver (opened June 2025); the Wide Open Saloon operation brings the same Texas BBQ and Northern Mexico live-fire cooking to Sedalia.

Expect brisket, pork shoulder, and sausage. The collaboration was covered by DougCo Social in May 2026 — full context there.

Wide Open Saloon is owned by Leah and Todd Hills, who also own Wide Awake Eatery in Castle Rock.
