Connor’s Visits (June + October 2025): First trip was breakfast: “I stopped by yesterday and treated myself to a cinnamon roll and chicken fried chicken… I was not only impressed by the taste and quality of the food (plus the good vibes), but also how reasonable their prices are.” (Castle Rock Crew, June 3, 2025) Dinner came that fall: “Everything from the food to the atmosphere hit the mark. I went with Leah’s Penne alla Vodka (named after one of the owners), which I would highly recommend, not just for the taste but for how much food you get. Ownership: Wide Awake Eatery is owned by Leah and Todd Hills, who also own Wide Open Saloon in Sedalia (home to Denver's award-winning Riot BBQ kitchen as of May 2026). Wide Awake opened June 1, 2025 on Wilcox Street.

Wide Awake Eatery offers guests a vibrant brunch and dinner experience with a focus on farm-inspired American dishes and craft cocktails. The welcoming atmosphere features live music on select nights and ample outdoor seating, including a dog-friendly patio. Wide Awake also runs ticketed event nights — Dinner & Dueling Pianos, comedy nights and Sunday DJ brunches — with the next dates listed in the events section below. Service is warm and attentive, with reservations accepted through OpenTable.
